Stick a 350 in there chris.

The silverado hybrid. 5.3 . The hybrid system comes on below 13 mph. It saves 10% in fuel economy. Which means you can push 10% more than before and get the same gas milage yeah. Unfortunatly the hybrid system turns it self off when in four wheel drive. That kinda sucks.

I HAVE A 350 IN MY CURRENT S10(OL\'RED). THE NEW ONE I\'M THINKING ABOUT A BIG BLOCK IN, BUT NOT ALL TRACK, I NEED TO DRIVE IT ON THE STREET TOO!

well another 350 truck might be a bit boring for you then huh?

always depends on how much cash you got to blow... but definitely take a step up the ladder.. a big block would be sweet.. 383\'s are really swell, 406\'s are also nice.

maybe do some research and build something that hasn\'t been built a zillion times already like 355\'s have.. i built a 357 just to be different, but woopity doo it\'s not that different lol.

i liked the idea that was being thrown around a few days ago... a 454 small block.. hellz yeah. all the cubes of the big boy, small block weight factor.

a 454 small block? to stroke it that much i think you would need a custom block. but a freind of mine did get his 97 lt1 stroked to a 396 with the stock heads and no computer work and ran a 10.60! so a good carbed 396 stroker should put the smack down pretty good.

I like the fact that I am building a 385 not just a 383.

squeeze just that much more out of it. every little bit helps.

doing a 396 stroker would cost big money wouldn\'t it, special crank and special pistons.

maybe I will do the .040 with 3.835 stroke crank, i think it is like 392 or 393 or something.

they show it as a 391 stroker but you can get it to a 396 by a little more bore. this is for the old 2 peice rear main seal blocks. they have them for the 1 peice and in an all forged kit as well. these guys have been doing strokers for a long time.391 stroker kit (http://www.speedomotive.com/391%20MONSTER%20MOUSE%20CHEVY%20350%20STROKER%20KI T.htm)

that is where i looked actually, what is with the dished pistons though, who would want that low of compression. my block is .040.

still makes good power with 91 octane pump gas. iam sure you can get a different piston.

What do you want to spend? A 427 LS-1 would be nice. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

well if the budget is no problem then i agree with fastbikesrule. i am going to find a car with the 427 and post it for ya. that s10 will dominate the street and more then 3/4 of the race track.
