ok i have to have an egr in my truck due to emissions. and i have an edelbrock square bore carb. the egr and the carb interfere with each other, the only way i have found to resolve this is about 2 inches of spacing under the carb. im wondering if they make an offset egr valve or spacer for the stock one. any help would be appreciated.

I don\'t think they made an offset spacer for the egr. Never heard of an egr spacer before. I would go with the 2\" carb spacer.Or an inch if they make one you can find. It will also help the fuel atomize better before it goes into the cylinder. You may have to use a thinner air filter to have adequet hood clearnce though.

ok thats what i thought i have room for the air cleaner but didnt really want to use that much spacer but i have no choice i guess lol. and i cant use anything but a 2 in ive tried 1 ,1 1/2 and didnt work only thing that would work is 2 inch. i found this out by using the 1 inch quad to square adapter that didnt work so i used the 1/2 \" emissions gasket that came with the carb still not enough finally had to add a 1/2 inch quadrajet gasket to that and now it fits. looks like crap so i need a 2\" thick quad to square adapter, and i dont think they have em. I dont want 3 gaskets if i dont have to.

we don\'t have emissions here in indiana , but a porsha geek was trying to tell me after so many miles or years a car don\'t have to have all the emission. can anyone bust this myth
