after market sway bars front and rear, but the tires have to be for cornering also or it will be kinda like mudding with street tires

ZQ8! The factory stuff is a good choice for handling sir. drop it,put some good springs in it, and sway bars front and rear.

hotchkis makes a sway bar kit for 1st gens, so does belltech - I\'m getting a set if I ever get finished under the hood.

The ZQ8 stuff is good too. The biggest difference you can make will be wheel and tire selection. For handling, 17s with 40 series ultra high performance summer tires will make a world of difference. Or just good rubber on the wheels you have now. Lower it right (new springs/shocks - don\'t cut springs) and a good set of sway bars will get you where you want to be.

I think, the zq8 s10 had one, or you can get one from a camaro.

Different springs, Sway bars, bigger brakes, Wider tires, proportioning valves. Almost anything that works on other cars works on S-10s.

Steering gear I use is out of an 82 up Camaro/Firebird. It is only 2 1/4 turns lock to lock. Just use the pitman arm off the S-10 and you good to go. I also use the p/s hose from the Camaro, fits very nicely.

Swapping to a taller spindle will aslo increase handling. Its common on G-bodies. But, this will add some bumpsteer to the truck. It can be fixed.

This will also allow you to upgrade the brakes to an 11 or 12\" rotor.

My buddy swears my blazer handles better than my anothers 94 Z28. Hopefully this winter Im gonna do a few more to get it even better, and rid of any bumpsteer.

Search the net for \"tall spindle conversion\" for Gbodies if your interested.

Thats how my buddy put 1LE brakes on his truck..

G body spindles with 1LE brakes, then he added tubular upper control arms ($500+ http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif ) also made for a G body
