i whent out and picked up a set of cyrcle track slicks for my truck 28 10 15`s they have a little bit of tred kind of like the m/t street slicks i was wondering why they say not for high way use is that cus there not legal... or for another reason i mean we had them on our cyrcle track car runing over 150mph on them how could 60mph on the high way be dangrous???

not sure maybe to cover their but legally. just make sure you have bias front and rear or radials front and rear \'cause mixing them makes for ill handling. Another reason for the warning could be heat, don\'t knowhttp://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/wtf.gif

i think it says that because there is not enough tread on the tire to make it DOT approved (at least 3/32). If it rains, yer done! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Also if you use them on the road for long periods of time they will wear out 10 times as fast.

the roughness of the city streets will eat the hell out of slicks, there to soft.

Why are they not street legal? Simply because they haven\'t had the DOT certify them.
