I was thinking about picking up a MSD 6A box. But heres my question. I have a almost new Mallory HEI full mechanical advance distributor. Is there a way i can run the box with this? or should i just not even worry about getting one. Or should i just upgrade the parts on my ditributor now?

yah you can run the box with that. it will come with the instructions on how to hook it to almost anything. the only thing is. and i dont know if you care or not but the 6A doesnt come with a rev limiter. the 6AL does and so does the accel 300+ you might want to check out the accel 300+. it is a digital processer and the 6A, and 6AL are both anolog. MSD is still the shit dont get me wrong but digital does think faster then analog.

not sure about the speedo thing? but you dont take the coil out of the hei. if you look under the cap where the wires go for your ignition hot and tach. behind that is where all the wires are for the coil. that is where you will wire the box to the coil at.

i have a 700R4 tranny with 4.11\'s and im running a 255/60/15 tire on the back for now. Thats not bad tho i can get a MSD box for a decent price then i can upgrade to a MSD incap coil or i can use my 50,000 volt mallory one
