i have extra pipe with mufflers but you would have to do all the welding and bending? almost not worth it. you can get straight pipe from summit at a fair price. its the bends that are going to cost ya no matter what.

You may want to try to find a shop that will custom bend an exhaust for you. Cost depends on the shops $$$ p/hour and the guy bending the pipes abality. There was some one here who paid big money, there was also a couple here that made thier own.

I have a full true dual system with cherry bomb mufflers. I think it\'s like 1 7/8\" pipe though. Also it was put in the truck when it had a 400 small block with stock exhaust manifolds, so those ends will probably be bent at the wrong angle and stuff. But it\'s all bent to go around the trans, over to the passenger side, over the rear end, then spreads back out to come out the back even. I don\'t know how i\'d ship this though??

BTW my truck is a reg. cab short bed 2wd. Yours would have to be the same. Probably is?

i tried to ship an exhaust system from my monte carlo ss and even after cutting it down to fit it in different boxes it was still going to be 165 from La to Fl? something to think about.

Damn it then. The problem I have is no exhuast shops will work on my truck cause you have to have Cats. even though in my county emmissions is not required.

Use the flowmaster collector back exhaust system for a 68 camaro. Thats what I used. You will have to do a little cutting with a sawzall to get the right length because they come a little long. it comes with dual 2.5 mandrel bend H pipe, 2 40 series flowmaster mufflers, exhaust pipes for bothe sides and all the hangers and clamps. I got it from Jegs for about 260.00 with free shipping. If you can cut and weld this is the best way to do it yourself.

there has to be someone who will touch it. It is the same deal around here, but there are a few shops that will do it but won\'t give you a receipt. And i guess their rule of thumb also is that they cannot remove a catalytic converter w/o putting on a new one. however if the vehicle comes to them w/o a catalytic converter installed, they do not have to install one. *shrug*

get some used cats from a junkyard and have them installed with your exhaust system, then sawzall them off and couple in a filler piece. or you could tell them it wont be used on the street,(race only) but the track rules say that you have to have mufflers.

The only way they will install any exhaust without a cat is that you have to have your registration done for off road use and same with the title.

that is bs danksta. Just do what Chevy383man said I think that would be your best bet in order to get it done if you have a welder that you can use and a saw zall

Just tell them to install the cats with header flanges, then you can easily drop them, and either install a piece of straight pipe, or just rod-out the goodies from inside the cats and stick \'em right back up. That\'s what I did, I have 2 sets of cats, one with, one without. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif I think you can see that in my pix.
