browsing around some gm websites and found alot of info on the new camaro. hopefully they build this thing and the SS will have the ls2 390hp engine. as of right now. hope this is true

With a look like that is should have more power. Like a factory option supercharger or something http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif . Something doesn\'t look right about the head lights though. I hope they make. Always been a camaro fan.

the new camaro will probably look nothing like that. All that is, is a very talented kid\'s idea of what it should look like. The concept car that will be used for the new camaro\'s platform looks nothing like that. I can\'t remember the name of that car, but it\'s also gonna be used for the 2006 Pontiac Soltice. Do a search for that car and you can get an idea of what the camaro will look like, or at least it\'s basic dimensions and proportions.



That rendering has nothing to do with GM or chevy. It\'s all just a dream.

My brother works at GM and he said they are just getting the 2007 die lineup. He said he has not seen information on the Camero. He will check with the engineers Tuesday. He usually knows before most people since he works in the tool and die area of GM.

well who really knows, theres a few different platforms coming out the kappa, and zeta, who knows what else. the zeta is a four door platform. sounds more like a frat and i hope there not more like a soroity.lol only time will tell. but until then i have my s10.

One of the big reasons for killing the Camaro was a deal they had made with city the plant was located in (st something?) had a deal that the Camaro would exclusively be produced there until 2005. The plant was outdated and expensive to run so rather than update the plant or continue losing money, they killed the car. So the rumor was the car would start production again in 06 as an 07 on an all new platform to save costs. I think they said it would share a platform with the CTS since it is already RWD and can obviously fit a LS1. I have heard that the 06 and 07 model years will have quite a few new models, but probably not nearly as may as we have seen this past couple years(new mini-vans, ssr, corvette, cobalt, colorado, aveo, maxx, gxp, grand prix, rainear, lacrosse,...... its a long ass list).

Well as far as im concerned about that Pontiac Solstice im glad they didnt produce it, because with a 4 banger its going no where being some 2600 lbs and only 170hp and ft lbs. Its worthless. But what do you expect, I own a V8 s10/15, like the rest of us here, lol.

they are producing the pontiac solstice. It will be a 2006 model, I think.



As far as the engine. 170hp in a 2600 lb car will be faster than some of the V8S10\'s on this site. That\'s probably enough for a low 14 sec car. I know my dad\'s old Toyota MR2 turbo made 200hp and was 2800 lbs and would run high 13\'s/low 14s.
