i have heard of people shimming the header??? but you can always cut the shaft and put a knuckel that swivals in between so you can move the steering shaft a bit. if it rubs real bad?? i have read on here in different post where people ask the same ? a buddy of mine did a 95 and had no problems? he used the headmans. what header are you using?

I got Sanderson Headers...i think im going to put a small dent in the header and see where that gets me....then maybe put a 1/8 plate between the motor and v8 mount.

Make sure you have your motor mounts seated all the way. You can buy a adapter plate for the flang on the block also.

I had same problem took the steering column loose where it went through the firewall and opened the holes to allow movement toward the drivers side then when I bolted it back together I used large washers to cover the holes and all was fine Hope this helps. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

By drilling new holes you can get an inch or more clearance
