I want to run my top two leafs only along with a set of Cal Tracs for a truck that will see 99% track duty will this work well or are the top two leafs too soft?

you need the bottom leaf and top leaf. pull the middle one or two depending if you have 3 or 4 leafs. will squat good for weight transfer

why the bottom one? isnt it the hardest?

I ask because my bottom ones are broken

Give these guys a call...They can make a spring for your application.

you have to keep that bottom one. It is the overload spring.

But how can I overload a truck that will be doing zero hauling??? I know its probably a dumb question but I\'m new to this whole suspension thing.

It helps to distribute the weight over a larger area. Without it, the single leaf will break faster.

again I ask why not the top two? there will be barely any weight back there I dont really see how the rear leaves would break. Anybody with experience in this area? I tried Landrum a while back and heard nothing from them.

when you jump on the gas you want the bottom spring in to stop the travel. with the top two only it will drop too low and wheel hop will be unstoppable. the bottom spring acts as a cushion so it will hit that and stiffin up so it wont sink any more.

Thanks Zeuse ...

So if I get this right... I will have very little travel in the rear? I figured you would want travel.

Thanks

If it\'s going to see 99% track duty why not just go to a four link. Unless you don\'t want to spend the money.

Have you used your Cal Tracks yet? I\'ve heard nothing but good about them. But was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them.

Also does it stop the spring from wrapping?

I\'m basically planning to just run at the track this year and then I plan to slowly put the thing back on the street as I go. I want to keep things simple which is why I am going with the Cal Tracs. There are guys who hook 1.30\'s on them with a nine inch tire so why should I need a 4 link?
