I bought these from a GM dealer for $24.

It just goes to show that it isn\'t just the GM dealers that rip you off. I am sure I could have paid less somewhere else as well.

The saying goes: \" Buyer beware\"

\" If it sounds to good to be true, it probubly isn\'t\"

\"Don\'t buy the first golden goose, it may just turn out to be a lemon.

With all things considered its always best to do some window shopping before spending the cash. I was going to buy a pile of stuff for the race car from summit. I found the same stuff at jegs. With the money I saved, I bought more stuff!

As for ebay ripoffs, buyer beware. I bid on and won a listing for a \"Autogauge 5\" tach..8000rpm new-black\" heres what the listing read: \"

New 5\" autogauge tach..8000 rpm..black in color..never used..no reserve \"

It did have a pic, I tried to match it to the pics in summit but I just couldn\'t find the excat same one. What I recieved was a USED, rusty, scratched lens, missing hardware, 3\" tach. Yes I said 3\" tach. Yes, I paid top dollar for it too! The seller has been apoligetic about the situation and had offered a discount for his error. Or I can send it back for a full refund. Problem w/full refund is I loose. shipping from him to me and then back again. Its cheaper to take the discount. Unhappy. Most definitly.

I have sold alot of stuff and always try to make sure thier isn\'t a problem that is in my control.

Space.

i was shopping for a digital 8 camcorder on there for a few weeks.. it\'s irritating as hell because people overpay. I don\'t care if it\'s in \"mint\" condition, i\'ve seen auctions go for the same amt. as i could go to best buy and get the item brand new instantly.... and you have to pay shipping with ebay which makes it cost more. not all the time but sometimes.. it\'s like wipin\' before you poop, it just don\'t make sense.

I was harsh on eBay. Like Space said, \"buyer beware\". If someone can get that much money for something \"good\" and not like what happened to Space, I guess it is not eBay\'s fault.

If you paid $24 from GM, you got a deal. They list for $16.98 a piece. It\'s not common for them to sell to anyone below retail.

It\'s not like the seller MADE anyone buy them for $29.95 on Ebay.......that\'s how people make money!

I sold 2nd Gen rollpans on Ebay for 3 years until my boss offered me $14,000 to stop selling them, and sell stuff on Ebay for him. Ebay is a sellers market.

Are you telling us all that if someone saw you going to put those on your S10 and offered you $35 for them, you would say no?

Lowered,

Read my commnet above yours.

I looked at my carbon of the check I wrote and the total was $26.90. That also included a bolt for my steering shaft. The dealership is next to my office building and the parts guy is a fan of peole building cars. I get sponsor tickets to NHRA and IHRA events and give him some once in a while. I have no idea what the list prices are. I just know they are cheaper than the GM dealership near my home.

I\'m looking for a drivers side inside door handle for my 1992 Geo Metro (my work car) and there is one listed on ebay for $1.00, what a deal, but he has the shipping listed for $25.00. Got to look at the big picture to keep from getting ripped!!!

Honestly, Getting hooked on Ebay was a great thing. If it weren\'t for my friend at work getting a full set of .040 dome pistons for his drag car, and his constant braging of all the great deals and an occasionaly screwing, I wouldn\'t never had even bought my IDIOT box w/key pad. And I would have never gotten on line and my own name on Ebay.

I\'ve been on Ebay since 4/15/03, and have bought my share of great stuff. I have also sold some great stuff. Also some OK stuff too, but I made SURE that I listed it correctly so no one would be upset me. That philosiphy has gotten me my turquise star. with perfect 100% feedback.

Well 100% until I leave feedback for the other guy on the tach. I think he will leave me neg feedback for leaveing it for him.

Also, IF it were not for Ebay, I would not be a member here. I found this site on ebay because I was looking for s10 parts.

yeah that\'s why i\'d be afraid to give someone negative feedback, because then they can blow your perfect score just to be dicks.

this is by far the best one ive ever seen...

I saw this on eBay motors: Item on eBay motors (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7944860039&)

\"electric supercharger\" all it is is a bilge blower for a boat. its used for inboard motors, when you turn the key on it kicks on the fan to ventilate the engine compatment of any gas/diesel fumes that may have accumulated so your boat dont go boom when the motor warms up. its nomore than a hair dryer fan in all reality. you can get them for around $20 - 30 from any marine supply place.

now im a student at uti down here in mooresville. one of the ricers girlfriends bought one for her boyfriend who is a student at the school. well this genius brought it into electrical class and asked the teacher if they could install it on his car. just so happens the teacher owns a boat, after all there is a vast expanse of lake down here. well the teacher seen it and near doubled over laughing after the kid showed him this.

the student told him his girlfriend bought it off ebay for $130. the teacher DID double over with laughter at that. then he proceeded to tell him what it was and it only costs $20. needless to say the kid was pretty pissed off...however he still thought it would work. the teacher told him theres no way in hell it would. so they quick dynoed the car, then installed the \"blower\" and dynoed it again.

it gained .7 hp below 2000 rpm and lost something like 12 hp in the higher rpm (4000+).

it only spins at like 3800 rpm and has the output of a large hair dryer.

Thats the one thing about ebay I hate. Retalitory feedback. There has been instances ive wanted to leave negative feedback but didnt becuase of it. Thing is that we all lose. The crappy seller isnt shown for what he is, and the buyer gets ripped. Other then that I love ebay and the great deals ive gotten.

I got bad feedback because i sent bad feedback to the guy i bought my gtech from. there add said same day shipping(didn\'t say any thing about only 48 states) then it took 20 days to ship, they could not ship it the fast way, so they shipped it a shitty way and charged me the same price which was half the cost of the gtech. Because i knew i was getting screwed and don\'t take shit, they said i was an agressive buyer.
