I went over to see that 89 s10. I couldn\'t tell what size carrier it was without dropping the cover but the option code said it was a 3.73. Since then i had a friend at a chev dealer look in the computer and the 3.73 gear was only listed between 1982-90 in a 7.5 rear end between1988-90 no 3.73 gears were listed in a 7 5/8 s-10. The project i have is i put a auburn 7 5/8 posi in my 7.5 housing now the axels are two small (26 spline).So now i think all i need is 7 5/8 (28 spline) axels for two wheel drive s10. Off to the junk yard i go. Thanks for the info.
