I am rebuilding an \'88 4.3 top put in an \'84 s10 blazer. I am looking at horsepower in the 220 range maybe more.
How much do I have to worry \'bout wheel hop?
Can I put traction bars on and still offroad?

I had bad wheel hop with my stock 4.3/5 speed when I would leave hard. A set of lakewoods would help, but you would give up some ground clearance. I have seen other set-ups that look cool that wrap around the front of the spring and have a coil, if I find them I will post a link.

if you want articulation from your rear axle, you want your rear springs soft not hard..traction bars will make them hard, Do what im doing build a v8 2 wheel drive s10 for the street and then buy a JEEP for Wheelin fun! Blazers suck in the mud and they cant climb anything for shit. Bein honest here man, buy a jeep, its the real TRUE 4x4. Sorry Man, blasers, rangers, explorers are wannabe 4 wd,s

Only time I ever got my Blazer stuck in the mud was when I was pulling a trailer weighing about a ton and a half.
I found out also that traction bars would interfere with a rear swaybar. SO I guess I will just wait untill I get the truck on the road see what I want and need and go from there.
