I posted a thread on another forum based in my state about emissions, And i mentioned my plans of putting a TBI 454 from a suburban into my truck, And one guy who runs a small block insisted that the front end loses alot of controlability, due to the weight increase. So do any of you guys running BBC\'s notice any problems with suspension up front? How much of a weight difference is there between a bbc and an sbc. couldnt be more than a couple hundred lbs right? I have 2\" drop spindles, and 2\" dop coils. Will there be an issue wiht my suspension you think?

no problems. The BBC weighs about 200 lbs more. I\'m using Belltech 2\" spindles and 3\" springs and the front is about 1/2\" lower with the iron headed BBC vs. the aluminum headed SBC.

awesome.. thats what i wanted to hear. I really didnt think 200lbs was gonna make that much of a difference anyway, but better safe than sorry.. Thanks

200lbs vs.how much torque from the ratt http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

now i am sure someone from the mid west(cough, cough)aka grandpa will say a big block is over kill or he will cut his teeth to the sound of a ratt in an s10 but it would be sweet to see a few more ratts in our trucks,as long as it stays chevy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif this is not a direct hit to JEFF from me,i know he despises ratts in s-sereis trucks http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

i noticed it was just bearly nose heavy, but it didt changed the truck at all...it still rode and drove the same...if i woas to do it again i would maybe just get v6 springs..cause mine was a 4 bangger truck
