ok ive adjusted the tv cable up and down on my 700r4 and still cant get it to shift right, it revs way up for each gear and then pins my head to the seat for a split second when it finally shifts, ist it toast?, is the converter toast? if they had jam on them it would be good but they dont so its bad. also if it is the tv cable and i want to bypass the problem by getting a new tranny what other kinds are there for a small block 350? ps its a daily driver. thanks in advance guys.

only 4speed autos you can use without spending an arm and a leg is the 700-r4 and the 200-4r. when the original setting are moved on an overdrive trans you cant just set the TV cable when your using different brakets and all from original. like what we are doing. you have to tap into the the side of the trans. there is a port there., and adjust line preassure like that. if that tv cable is even 1/4\" off line pressure wont be as designed. that is what i still need to do as soon as i get mine on the road. but as far as it slipping and then going into gear. probebly a trans going bad. which low or too high line preassure will do that.
