Every s-10 I have owned has the passenger side tire sticking out on the passenger side about 3/4 of an inch than the drivers side. This is a real pet peave of mine. Anyone else have this problem?

Suprise Suprise!!!!!

The pinion is offset 1 inch towards the passenger side of the truck.

I just put a 9 inch rear in my truck and the person at the machine shop said \" do you want it offset to match the stock one?\"

I replied my stock one is in the middle, Isn\'t it?

We took my old 7.5\" limp noodle and measured it and sure enough it is offset.

GM moves the whole powertrain over to give room for the steering box.

I guess you learn somthing every day.

Now how many guys cut there rear gear themselves and din\'t notice this?

Two other things to look at are the motor mounts and the trans tunnel, both are off set to the right, makes sense to me!! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
