If I wanted to use a T350 Tranny in my s10 conversion which tail shaft will allow me to leave the drive shaft alone? The 6 inch tail or the four inch tail? Thanks.

Is it difficult to change the tail from a 6\" to a 9\"? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

I actually picked up a T350 with the 6\" tail from a guy who owed me a favor for $25. It is all good but the torque converter looks dirty as hell. Is it true that you should get a new torque converter to be safe? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

i would get a new converter for sure...you can get one from jegs for about 150.00 and a little over stock...i wolud ....if your truck is like mine you have to take out the motor to get to the tranny ...and thats a big pain ..just to put a converter in ...when you can do it now and know for sure that it is a good one...

i used a 6 in shaft and i had to add about 3in to my drive shaft ..so a 9in would be the way to go
