Location of T56 shifter

On a 5 speed s-10, where would the shifter on a t56 come out at, the origonal location? Farther back?

Yes, usually like 4-5\" back from the original spot. This is a pic of where its at on my blazer. Im the process of swapping it over to a standard cab truck now, and its in the same position.

Im 6\', and with the shifter straight up, and bent towards the drivers side some..its in the perfect location for me.

No, just swapping most to the truck...I thought about it..but I just won\'t be able to part with the blazer.



She\'ll just be on hold for a little while, thinking maybe LS1 in the future.



I\'ve always loved the 2nd gen standard cab trucks. Its big enough for me in there, just that little bit bigger than a 1st gen. They\'re finally cheap enough now I could afford one. When bought my blazer a few years back, you couldn\'t find one cheaper than 5 or 6K.



I picked up a 94 standard cab truck from ebay, which happened to be 4 sale at a local car lot, for $1400 out the door.



They\'re wider, so I can run wider meats on them. Im hoping to drop close to 4-500 lbs vs the blazer, and should handle better. Not to mention easier to mod to handle better.

i see your point,i too want a second gen but an x-cab,as for now i have too many cars 96z28 m6,95z28 a4,82 s10 race truck 2 of 3 do not run yet.as soon as i get them up and runnin i will be able to do a 94-95obd1 x-cab with an Ls1 drivetrain..glad to see you are keepin the blazer you are well recognized by it http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif ........

I feel you on that one..Only vehicle of mine move able now is my 81 beater truck.



My 70 c10, 94, and 92 are all sitting at the shop awaiting to be reborn, lol.
