does any one have any of the fiberglass parts on their trucks? I\'ve been looking at maybe getting some for my truck, but I\'ve heard that they aren\'t that straight and it takes alot of expensive work to get them ready to paint. Is that true? I want to lighten up the front end but I don\'t want to pay a ton of cash to get it set to put on. Well let me know what you guys think. Later, and thanks.
they come ready to finish, that means you\'ll need to have some work done to them.
they go more in detail about them at www.up22.com (http://up22.com)
that is Unlimited Products website, which is who we have make our fiberglas parts that we sell on the parts store here.

My hood is glass, and I must say I was VERY impressed with it. All the lines were PERFECT, sure all glass takes a little persuation but I was extremely impressed with mine. I got it out of Florida, it was only like $150 (stock hood). I\'ll see if i can find the name of the company, I came across it on EBAY... you know how companies usually list a crap load of stuff just to get their names out there? Try that... http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Hey slick I think its called Body Sources in fl.
I have a HARWOOD hood on mine and I have to say its a ton better than any other hood on the market that I\'ve seen. And I looked a lot of hoods before buying mine. It did cost more than most of the others out there but it was worth it! It is finished on the inside as well! Most of the brands out there are finished only on the outside. I can open my hood and be proud of the underside as well. It fit great and doesn\'t weigh much. $469 with shipping! OUCH!
Mike I hate to put down a sponsor here put I tried to buy one and it was going to take like FOREVER! 4-6 weeks! Then a freind of mine purchased one and it fit like crap. But maybe he got a bad one,who knows. Don\'t mean to dis them but a bitter taste is hard to get rid of.
Do your home work and check them all out before making YOUR mind up.
Good luck.

I have a complete 1 piece tilt fiberglass nose that looks like a factory piece-as long as you deal with a reputable glass manufacturer-finishing should be very minimal.

Just got my christmas, fathers day,b-day gift for the rest of my life what is it? 4\" harwood fiberglass hood except for some scratches on it ,it is sweet its even black and shinny almost like my truck lol ,,Quality is top notch .My pet peve is seeing the fiber in the fiberglass after its been painted the harwood is smooth top and bottom,,,,cost 515 but ya get what ya pay for Im afraid,,,Crap the fenders and stock hood dont way enough to justify cost in getting fiberglass parts unless ya want a cowl hood in my opinion but its your truck so be happy with your decision
