What\'s up fellas? I wanna put the Moroso Trick front springs in my truck come spring time (I know, it\'s a little early) but does anyone know an easier way to do this. The way I\'m approaching this, and have done it in the past is:

Raise the truck and support it on jstands.

Pull off the tires, drop the shocks.

Put a chain through the coil spring and the lower control arm.

Put a jack under the A-arm and take out the lower control arm bolts.

Slowly lower the jack and repeat for installation.

Anyone got any tricks as to.. when its time to put the new ones in on how to line up the bolt holes easier?

Thanks,

-Mike

Depending on how tall they are, its gonna be much easier to undo the bottom ball joint at the spindle, than the 2 a arm bolts. If they are really tall, a spring compressor is gonna be easiest to use.

i just undid the shock and undid the lower balljoint and lowered it down with a floor jack... and reversed the process to put it back togather

i just remove the shock ,lower baljoint and slowly drop the lower control arm the chain is a good idea most truck springs arnt under much pressure i use a long prybar to hold and help aline the spring in place the truck will need to be HIGH off the ground to do this

I always drop the upper control arm ball joint then you can stand on the spindle and the spring just falls out. Cut a coil off and you\'ll never have a problem getting it out again. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

i would suggest taking the lower balljoint loose.. i had to do it the way you are talking about because i couldnt break the balljoint loose for the life of me!! everything else sounds good though. by the way better get a helper to realign the lower control arm if you drop it that way believe me!!
