damn. i didnt see this post. HAHAHA.
price wise the 200-4r is about the same price as the 700-r4. internals are just about the same but smaller in diameter so less rotating mass. also make sure its a 200-4r with 12 mounting holes and not 11. the 12 hole tranny is universal the 11 hole tranny is for BOP only. good luck finding a used one with 12 holes unless you have a monte ss parts car. you will need to slide the crossmember up about 1 1/2 to 2 inches. but you can use the same mounting holes in the frame and redrill new holes in the crossmember. also need to cut the mounting tab on the original crossmember off and bend the center of the crossmember in some and drill a hole through the center of the crossmember. so all you need to do is run a long stud through the hole and screw it into the mounting hole on the trans mount on the bottom of the crossmember where the stud sticks out put on a wide washer and then a lock washer and nut. i dont remember the length of my driveshaft so if you plan on doing it and need to know how long it needs to be i will measure it and let you know. just PM me. as far as wireing. it no different then the 700-r4 just run the 2 wires from the plug to a toggle switch. A on plug goes to + and B on plug goes to ground. the 3rd wire D goes nowhere. i have 2 200-4r\'s if interested. i will give you one if you want it but the shipping will be a little high. it will have to be created up. and it needs to be rebuilt. but i have 2 good converters. one stock about 1200-1500rpm and one that is 2200-2500rpm. let me know. if you want it rebuilt i can get it done for you for next to nothing. you pay for the rebuild kit you want and i will get it rebuilt for free! so all you will have to pay total for a smokin 200-4r is about $200-$400 depending on the kit you want? thats with the shipping of course. let me know.

Im looking at a Gear Vendors OD unit when I start my next build. Make my automatic have a .50 final gear(like a 6-speed) without the swap/parts

i would love to get a unit from gear vendors and a strong th400. they do make a unit that gives you a 6 speed auto. but with the price of a good trans and the the unit i choose to just spend the $2000+ on the art car 200-4r
