This is for fun
I am going to try to get the truck to weigh 2900 with me in it.
355 sb chassis dynoed in camaro at 586hp and 630ft torque, with procharger at 12lbs
powerglide and 4000 stall
373 auburn posi (going to leave at part throttle untill I finish with 9\")
28\" tall drag radials
I know it will have some mph, but et will be lacking because I won\'t be able to leave hard.
Truck should be finished in march.

According to my calculations you should run mid to low 11\'s, where are you going to shift?

This motor in my camaro ran 10.57-63 at 130 in the 1/4. The car weighed 3500. But that was with slicks and transbrake and 1.55 60ft.
I was hoping it would at least do the same in a lighter truck.

I\'d guess that those power numbers are RW numbers? I would estimate low 10\'s if you can hook up.

IF those are RW HP and torque numbers--with better gears and if it launches hard(<1.35 60ft time)--->
10 sec. flat. You\'re 600lbs lighter than that 10.57sec. Camaro-that\'s good for 1/2 sec. easy. On a cool,dense-air night maybe even a 9.99! Get in to the 9\'s and the NHRA rules really get strict. Full cage, NHRA License, chassis certification, full suit, trans. blanket, after market axles, etc.
HERE (http://members.cox.net/martin777/WebPage/9.99.wmv)is a 9.99 run. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

The rules aren\'t that tough all I would need is to get the chassis certified, I already have a license, and all that saftey stuff. I think it would be cool for a S10 to run that fast.
