i have put 2 new seals in it and every time it starts leaking again within the first couple days of having it back togather i\'d like to get it fixed this time because it\'s a pain in the ass to change the trany all the time... does anyone know wat could be causing this? if no one knows what\'s going on then i might just do a complete rebuild even though it only has about 40k on it any suggestions please

next time the seal is out make sure nothing is blocking the little drain hole at the bottom behind the seal. If it is blowing the seal out, some trannsmissions came with a front seal retainer clip that pops on over the seal to hold it in.

the seal isn\'t blowing right off it just starts leaking like crazy so where is the hole that might be plugged?
and both time i put the seal in i put a speedy shaft on so it can;t be nicks or anything causing problems

the valve body needs replacing at about 100,000 miles or it wont pump tranny fluid enough and heats converter then it fails from heat.. try a performance vavle body if you gotta replace the torque converter already. oh ya after i read the whole post i remember my old boss telling me that 700s have a hole where the pan sits.. make sure the pan has the little dimple below the hole and gasket on right it cnat be blocked .sorry bout the book

this tranny already has the b&m rebuild kit and a manual b&m valvebody along with the corvette servo, it works perfect other than the converter seal keeps leaking and it was built by a very good reputation tranny shop, it worked perfect untill about 35k the only fluid i use in it is b&m trick shift synthetic... i love the tranny it barks the tires into third at about 130km/h

sounds like there might be a problem with the inputshaft it might be moving around to much causing the seal to leak.i recommend the next time it is leaking remove the trans and take it to the shop let them remove the seal and inspect the trans. the pump it self might also be messed up i\'d let the tranny shop look at it

Take the pump out. drill the drain back channel to 5/16. Then move the drill left to right to elongate the top and bottom of the channel. The hole on some 700\'s are to small and the seal gets to much fluid behind it. The drill will cut a little by the bushing but it doesn\'t cause a problem. You will need a new pump o-ring and gasket. Also be very careful when taking the pump apart. There are alot of parts in there. If you don\'t know how to do the pump, take it to someone. Putting it together wrong will ruin the pump. There not cheap either. One more thing. put the seal retainer on.

i\'ll ask my mechanic to help me he\'s come over a few times and helped me out with a few things...actually they helped me out with a lot and they don\'t charge me for it... but i owe him a McMeal for rebuilding my carb and helping me get my truck running for the first time http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif pretty sweet deal if you ask me
