i finaly got my 427 big block today....i test fitted a 454 a few weeks ago...the 427 has 2.19 -1.88 valves closed chamber heads small pop up piston for a 11-1 compression with a soild comp cam from 1800-5800 rpm...team g-intake...im using tight tube;s headers with 3in flowmasters and a 850 holley....im trying to get it ready ...but around here the weather is wiggin...last wek we has 3in snow ...and to day it was 70 out...one thing is for sure ......fast or not a big block in a s10 looks\' bad ass.

the chevy big block mounts the same as a 350 and uses the same bellhousing so it shouldn\'t be all that herd to put in other than steering and shifter linkage will be in the way

i use a mega shifter ...so the linkage is not a problem....and for the headers...there is a lot of room on the passenger side and on the driver side ...any one with a desent skills can build a header around the sterring.....i have decided to buy a kit and make mine....i may even move my oil filter ...just to have more room....i\'ll get some pictures this week some time...i hope...
