14102187...87-91...305..........1.84\"/1.5\" valves... its off of a 89 camaro, Im going to put this 305 in my truck for now, until I get the zz4 finished... It has the center bolt valve covers, but its not the vortec head, it has the normal intake bolt setup, can I put my intake on those heads, its a preformer RPM, for early style heads, not for a vortec... Thanks http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

I would say probably yes. There\'s vortec then there\'s regular. Nothing else to worry about that i can think of on that engine.

thats not really true. i dont know for sure about the TBI heads? but the TPI heads of those years have a slight angle to the 2 center bolts on each side of the intake. those heads were designed a little different. now the carbed heads of those years never changed the angle on the heads. and i think what you have are the carbed heads. the TPI heads were 58cc heads with 1.94/1.50 valves. best thing to do is just set it on and screw in the 2 center intake bolts on each side. if there is a differance you will notice right away. hope this helps.

Well I guess I wasn\'t thinking about FI. TBI should still be the same. I thought TPI was too but I never really looked at them so you\'re probably right.

In either case, since you have both parts the easiest test would be just to try bolting them together. Don\'t forget to put gaskets between them though or they won\'t line up right

i had to elongate some of the holes on my performer intake to fit the 350 tbi heads out of 88 fulsize.

the four inner bolt hles have to be sloted and a off camber washer used on these holes

I too had to slot some holes to get my older intake to fit my centerbolt heads.

It was only two bolts, I just slotted them and when I set the intake on added some extra RTV

i have an 87 chevy fullsize with the 305 tbi motor, the center 2 bolt holes on each side are at a different angle from the rest, all you have to do is elongate them and use a washer, or like i did mine, just cut it all the way to the end, i havn\'t had any trouble from mine. mine used an old holley intake that i had on my 350 in an 86 isuzu pickup a while back. it is a very easy mod
