I just read that GM perf parts has come out with a new set of vortec heads called the \"bow tie vortecs\'\' 206cc version, and 175cc version. They\'re supposed to be alot better then the L31 vortecs

These are the large port version..fits older intakes and valve covers too..i\'m seriously looking into buying them!

i heard that chevy is making a 3 valve head. maybe they where full of it but if so that would be weird to see that kind of head. sry to chane the subject some but i was just curious about it. nick

The only 3 valve head Ive seen is by Barry Grant.

Those prices are for bare heads, too.



Seems like it would be better to just buy some nice aftermarket heads.

Complet small ports are 499, and large ports are 539. The large ports flow

.300 I 189 E 139

.400 I 234 E 154

.500 I 257 E 153

.600 I 263 E 164

Not bad numbers or price either. They did a build up on a 355 SBC and made 632 hp with these heads. The engine builder said \"these are the best iron 23\' head on the market\". I wouldnt get them mainly because they are iron. But for a series that may require a factory iron head, they are pretty tough.

I ran a set of 906s for a while and switched to the Edelbrock E-tec 200. Luv em big difference
