Yeah, Grimpuppy is in Kansas, or one of those other \"middle\" states. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
........... And lucky you, got there just in time for the summer tourist season! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif Seriously though, take care of yourself, we\'re with you all the way.

I am back in the good ol\' USA. I got back Feb. 7 and was released from active duty March 8. I was in Bahgdad, at RPC and then we worked out of some houses in bahgdad. Right before we left they moved us to Camp Slayer to reconsolidate the battalion so we could go home. Of course they stuck us with thier damn tower gaurd duty while we were there. Balad used to get a lot of motors, don\'t know if they still do. If so make sure you duck http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif I believe one landed right by the front door of the PX there a couple months before I left. Anyway be careful and don\'t trust any of them local nationals. We caught so many of them launching motors and rockets at night and working on the US camps during the day. Again if you need anything let us know, I\'ll throw a package together if ya need anything. Stay safe man. BTW I am about 2 hours from Topeka.

I got out in 2002! I was a C-130 Crew Chief stationed at Dyess AFB, TX. If you see some of them, tell them I said Hi! Kill some towel heads for me and be carefull!

I take it you are on the USAF 6 mo program. I arrived at Falcon just before grimpuppy would have left this wonderful country. Just so you in the states are aware the IA is starting to take over a lot of our territory in Baghdad. I am at an oil refinery south of the Green Zone. The IA took almost all of our area over. Now the 3ID is training the IA and ING and we are taking their areas over. Since Feb it seems to be pretty quiet around Baghdad. A few IEds in comparison to a year earlier according t a guy who volunteered for another year. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

I\'m on the hook with my national guard unit for 18 mo. We did 6 mo of trainup as infantry then we will be in Baghdad for 12 mo. I just spent the last 2 days at Shamaconda. When we got there everyone was wearing their IBA and Kevlar because of Sadam\'s birthday, really strange. At Falcon nothing was different, we didn\'t even know it was Sadam\'s birthday. Almost seems like there is no war going on when you are in the middle of Shamaconda. You work there, I\'ll drive around the streets of Baghdad, it\'s more my speed.
