Anybody got any suggestions on where to get one of those bed covers that lays flush with the bed? Just want to cover my fuel cell and battery. Talk to me guys.

I got mine from Checkmate. It\'s a flush mount hinged cover. I think I have a picture of it under my user name if you want to take a look. I like it pretty well. It doesn\'t roll up, but you can remove the whole thing pretty easily if you have to. I think it was only $150 or something like that, too.

I forgot to add that there\'s some assembly required. It took a little time, but was pretty easy.

Would it be much trouble to lift up? At rear? Fuel cell is located near tailgate-----Thanks

It opens really easily - look at the pictures when you click on the camera to the left of the message and you\'ll see it in the open position. It\'s got spring loaded arms that hold it up. It\'s held down by a couple of clips, so you have to put the tailgate down and unhook the clips to raise the cover. My cell is in the same place as yours and it\'s easily accessible for fueling.

I just bought a flush mount fiberglass tonneau cover, Love it!!!!! Get a hard cover if you can, they make the truck look so clean!!! Mine is a Fastback II, I had one on my 1st two S-10s also. It raises just like Jeffy\'s but has a bit more of a finished look I think. Its one solid piece.

I thought about getting a checkmate too, but I didnt like the strap hanging when it was open or having them holding my cover down. The checkmate is about $325(hard) and The Fastback II is $499

Yours does look pretty sweet. I got the vinyl one for mostly budgetary reasons. Are you going to paint yours or leave it black?

Im going to leave it black. I like how it sets off the truck, I mean the tires, doorhandles, grill and such are all black also.
Plus it doesnt cost anything to leave it black. I didnt have the money, but I remembered how good it made my last trucks look. So I bought it anyways. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
