After waiting since Thanksgiving, I finally got my acceptance letter back from Virginia Tech. I have been accepted into their engineering program. I was relieved to say the least. Man I am so excited. I was really beginning to worry. I had to let you guys know.

By the way I am going into Mechanical Engineering. Man I am so excitied. I got accepted, almost ready to put the new motor in my truck, and almost ready to paint my truck.

This is great!

Hey, when you make it big, don\'t forget us.

Don\'t forget us by not enginering the oil filter between the cat and the manifold, under the frame rail over the unremovable heat shield! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/fun_11.gif

But seriously, Congrats! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/beer.gif

I hope Virginia Tech is better than Georgia Tech. Man those boys over at GT have more than likely never even touched a piece of \"Raw\" metal much less know how to design it into something. At a machine shop I use to work at we\'ve had some of them come over. It\'s usually ugly. Then they explain to us what they want.

After Virginia Tech what school do you plan on going to after that? MIT maybe???

Thanks guys.

don\'t worry space, I have worked on plenty of things that I had to stop and wonder what the hell they were thinking when they designed it! Maybe I wont do the same mistake.

smittie I have already got an associates degree in Machine Technology. I went through community college for three years first. During the first two years I decided to keep going and the third year was for classes that Tech requires to transfer.

I really haven\'t thought much about what I will do after Tech. I would really love to work with one of the NASCAR teams. But as of now I still have 3 or 4 more years. So there is plenty of time to decide about all of that.

Thanks again guys. And by the way How could I forget yall?

Just do me one favor. If you get to work for GM I want you to slap whoever designed the heater core for my 98. Going completely through the dash is not a way to change it out. Also tell them to design those heater cores and other components of that sort out of copper and not Aluminum. So if they want to design it in that goof ball sort of way and somehow keep the union happy. It won\'t leak and it will keep me happy. Japan and Germany have learned that trick a long time ago.

If I was to go to a tech school such as VA Tech or Georgia tech. I\'d save every penny I could manage and try to get into MIT. Those boys come up with some cool stuff. We have had a couple of MIT grads come by our shop. And they have an unlimited Budget so you can experiment with cool stuff. Also if you even get excepted your job opportunities are endless.

But best of luck to you.
