Here we go. Stock electric fuel pump- Mallory FPR- key on 5-6 psi, running 3 psi (give or take). Now my fuel pressure should be 5-6 psi running right?

im a little confused at what you\'re saying..
i guess ill just say, you should have 5-7 PSI of fuel pressure while the engine is running

You are correct. If your pressure is at 5-6 and you start it and it goes to 3, you have a volume issue. It could be from a line leak or obstruction.

I am pretty sure I have my fuel pressure problem figured out, bad gauge. My next problem is heat related, I think. After driving my truck for 45 min or so, when I get into it it starts spitting and sputtering. I have replaced the in tank fuel pump and rerouted my fuel lines. I am running out of ideas. Maybe relocating my FPR from driver side inner fender to ?????

sounds kinda like the problems i have in the summer due to heat,I tried a red ,blue and finally a mech fuel pump, still loose pressure when its hot outside and drive for a long period of time,it drops from 7 cold to 3 or even lower to 0 ,truck runs like crap, but if i take a hose and cool it down it runs great and i get my fuel pres back...really pisses me off.I have a volvo fan that covers the corvette rad completely, and a 160 thermostate im going to try soon........good luck with yours

are you guys running some sort of rubber line or is it metal line from the pump to the carb ? you see how much your garden hose stretches from just being outside in the sun light.
