2 questions. the torque converter in my th350 doesn\'t have threads for the bolts to bolt into, just holes. i was told i can just geta skinny nut (which i have) and some lock tite and problem solved. i have the proper bolts from GM. what do you guys think? also, do i have to fill my torque converter with fluid before i install it? how do i know when it\'s full?

They don\'t have threads. You need the proper bolts and nuts for this. You can get them at most auto parts stores.
You should put a little fluid in the converter. You pour some in and roll the converter around in your hands to get the fluid through the turbins. You should smear some fluid on the converter shaft that goes into the transmission as well. This helps it slid in better and helps protect the seal.

You also want to be sure you get the convertor seated all the way in. It will slide in a ways then stop. You need to turn it a couple times till you get it to slide in some more. Do it one more time after that to make sure it seats all the way.

Yeah, like Grimpuppy said, after you\'re 100% sure the converter is seated all the way, and then installed, a good \"triple check\" is this: before bolting up the converter to flex plate, the converter should spin free, that is, it will need to be drawn forward, however slightly, to bolt it up.
