As soon as I fix my squeeky belt problem, i am putting my truck up for sale. I\'m getting fed up tinkering around with this thing. There is always something going wrong with it. I used to enjoy fixing it and all that stuff at first, but now it\'s just becoming a nuissance and is getting on my nerves. I\'m tired of having to fix it. It seems i\'m having to do so almost weekly. Almost all the bloody parts are new on it now, but there\'s always something else going wrong.

Actually, what i\'ll do is find another vehicle first, and then sell this one. Hopefully within the next few weeks.

Sorry, I\'m just venting a bit, I\'m sure there are others out there that are always having to fix theirs as well. I sympathize with you if you are one of those people. It just gets really tiresome after awhile. I hope i\'ll be happy with my next ride.

What did you think that you were getting into? Hotrods are always breaking and the fixing is the funnest part....upgrading!! Hope you have better luck with your new HONDA.

I was thinking of selling my truck. GAS! so one day I filled my ford mini van 3.0 v6 up with gas and then to work and back. it cost me $5.00 there and back runs good. The next day I did the same with my SBC V8 in my S15, and It cost me $3.50!! go figure..... I\'ll keep the truck.

i think most of it is not lazyness!!! some people lose intrest in that particular project and then move to another. some people just dont have an ideal place to work on their project, or the money to continue the up keep after its done. so brfore you start trying to down someone for their decision why dont you ask a few questions 1st!! from most of the pics i look at i would have to say that most of you have at least a garage at minimum to work in. i dont!! but i have the cash to build another and another just no place to do it!! some people have the place and not enough cash. so lets not jump and beat someone with a flame stick because you dont agree with their decision.

Our friend ReedZ is from Canada where having a non-reliable vehicle is bad bad news with all of the cold weather up thar. Notice that most of the responses are from the Southern US where one can work year round on their vehicle. It\'s your life, ReedZ, do what ya wanna do............as long as it\'s another V8S10 ! ha ha

I don\'t think that it\'s laziness thanks very much. And I don\'t think i\'d be buying a Honda either. I wouldn\'t consider my truck a hot rod. It\'s just a stock 305 that i use for a daily driver. I\'ve been lucky enough that i\'ve been able to fix pretty much everything on my own. It\'s just that after 2 years of driving this thing having one thing go wrong after another, it starts to get to you a little bit. In a way, i\'m glad it\'s an older vehicle without all the sensors and other crap the newer ones have. Less expensive to fix when something does go wrong in my opinion.

I don\'t have a garage, so most of my work is done in the driveway when the weather is nice. Some of the work is done in my driveway when it\'s freezing rain. I think if I had another vehicle + a garage, i would be more tempted to keep it and have it as a toy to play with. That\'s not the case unfortunately. But when you have two vehicles that aren\'t reliable enough to take on a trip that is a min. of 2 hrs, you sort of have to make a decision on what is more important.

If some of you think i\'m lazy, I don\'t care. I presonally don\'t believe that\'s the case.

Anyways, I\'m still going to do a bit of car searching and see what i come up with. If something good happens to come around, then i will more than likely get rid of mine.

I\'m from the south, Florida and now I live in Ohio. Born and raised in Florida for 27 years and spent the last almost 3 years here in Ohio. Things are much different here than down south. I totaly miss the weather down south. This snow and cold a$$ weather is something to get used to. I just put a used engine and tranny in my blazer 4x4. Had to borrow a friend\'s garage otherwise it wouldn\'t have gotten done. I still have things wrong with it. wanting to put a 350 in it and turn it into a rock crawler or something similiar but there the money issue. I thinking of getting rid of it. Wife\'s astro van is being a pain the butt and she\'s wanting a newer car or minivan. I feel what your feeling. Want to keep it but need to think reasonable right now for transportation sake.

hey where some of us around central oregon its kinda hard to work on the truck when its raining or cold as heck out side so some of us guys like me and racer1182 deals with but i fell that if you want to keep or get rid of your truck not doing to be lazy it is just like zr1 said. hope you change your mind and keep it. the way i look at it is hey all the time into it and drive it for a few days its all worth the work if you ask me. some people dont have the luck for the truck to stay going but one of these days it will keep running for you. hope i made since sry to hear the news. nick
