when i do this swap, will i be able to make my guages work w/o computer. or should i look for a set of aftermarket guages. would like to retain stock interior appearance.
mine is a 94 2wd 2.2 5 spsingle cab....

what kind of a swap? Newer v8 that is fuel injected or a carbed?

80s305. planning to use an aftermarket intake,with a 600 cfm carb. simple swap. will also have ac,p/s p/b .
if it goes ok maybe next will be a lt1

i think the 94 is still on the border??? dont know though. if you have a speedo cable on the trans then yes your gauges will still work. that would be the only one to worry about. all the others dont run off the ECM they are electrical.

Will you keep the 5spd or use auto?

i think you wont be able to use your factory speedometer because it is electrical and controled by the VCM in a 94. i redid my tbi harness in my 94 to use the older 1227747 ecm and wired in a DRAC module to run my factory speedo. all your other gauges should work just fine.
