You have some really nice parts. I would step up to a full roller cam setup next.

agreed with the rest....cam and headers leave alot to be desired. I would call someone like cam motion, isky, or crower about a camshaft as the recommend cams by the rest of the package not just what they have on the shelf. custom cams make huge differences.

thanks for the responses. . . . I also have an option of building a fully balanced and forged 383 stroker for a total of $2200. That\'s a little more than I wanted to spend but do you think the significant gains in torque and medium gains in hp. will be worth it?

Definatly get rid of the Summit cam!!!! After that I would save a bit more for an aftermarket EFI setup!! But if thats not an option......

I would get a solid roller. Man are those fun, I havent run anything but a solid roller.

A set of Jet-Hot coated headers, the 1 3/4\" headers are nice, but really take up a lot of room. Maybe a custom set of long tubes would be in order. I didnt see any mention of a harmonic balancer, get a TCI rattler/Fluidampner.

My buddy and I ran Victor Jrs on our engines (350/383, AFR 195s, Solid rollers) and he really liked the swap to a good dual plane intake like the RPM Air gap.

A March pulley kit would be really nice too.....

$20 on some bigger Nitrous jets...lol Upgrade to a MSD Digital 6 too so you can take some timing out automatically, sell the 6AL

Might even think of a nice set of brakes. Baer/SSBC/Wilwood...MMMM..... Although your rims wouldnt show them off well. They still would work just as well.

You could get the new beehive valvesprings, maybe a stud girdle. A new Billet timing chain, or a internal belt drive.

Sounds like your running into the same things I was, out of stuff to do. So I was doing upgrades that only made minimal, if any difference, but made me feel good and some bragging rights.

Or sell it all, do an LS1 swap http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I know a very good way to help ya spend your xtra cash. ship the truck up to illinois an let me drive it for the summer.

Nice truck man, i would just enjoy it and set that cash in the bank and add to it for the next project after ya get bored of this one.

OK so I called Comp Cams and here\'s what they recommended:

First he said I have to go to a edelbrock rpm performer air gap intake, because I don\'t have enough rev. to really take advantage of the Victor Jr.

Second he said the cam I have now is also a high rev. cam and I\'d be better off reducing the duration by .12

Third going with a solid roller will produce more power.

So here\'s what I\'m looking at by his recommendation:

K12-770-8 full kit

specs:

dur. at .50= 236 intake, 242 exhaust

.564 intake

.570 exhaust

110 lsa

$950

$744 at Summit, thats a good price, you get all you need, although I would still get a better Timing chain. I also puchased K kits =)
