So I bought an Edelbrock racing fuel pump (mechanical) and I\'m stupid because I\'ve never installed one on a 350 before but when I fit it on there, there\'s a gap below the fuel pump because the little cut out is larger than the end of the fuel pump. It will bolt up just fine and everything but I was just comcerned about that gap being there and if I was supposed to have an adapter plate of some sort to take care of that. Thanks.

there should be a plate on there also, blocks off the lower half of that hole.

Yeah, plate bolts to the block, and them the pump bolts on top of the plate. Make sure you put the rod in before the plate, you can\'t get it in after.

There are 4 bolt holes where you put the fuel pump on. You need to get a gasket that goes over the l^l shaped hole. You put the plate on w/ gasket using the 2 bottom bolts. Then you get the pushrod about 1/2\" thick and 6\" long. Put a big ol glob of grease on the end of it if you cant get it to stay up. Then bolt your fuel pump on in the remaining top 2 bolts. Make sure the little arm on the fuel pump is on the rod! I forgot to mention there is a tapped hole on the front of your block that goes into where the pushrod thing goes so get a little short bolt and block it off.
