Notching Cross member
thinking of notching my cross member to bring motor farther forward would like to do tubed cross member but don't have the resources has anyone done this?

i notched my cross meber because i had to due to my deep oil pan. my motor is in the more fwd position. 1 pic is while we notched it, the other is the notched cross member after we layed the motor in.

I had to notched and boxed mine to clear oil pan the same way as OTHCUSTOM

Super, I would buy the H3 Pan. I thought about hacking mine up, but with the H3 pan I didn't have too. The only frame work I need to do is notch the drive side frame rail to clear the A/C comp. Really saved me time, which I don't have a lot of!!

DSC04327.jpg Stock 5.3 pan sump was too wide, the H3 fixed that.
